Default TTN5 installation on two devices?

Hi guys

This is my first post so I apologise if this has been asked before...

I installed Navigator 5 on my HX4700 today and all is well. However, I'd like my wife to be able to use it on her iPaq 3970 now and again but nothing happens when I stick the SD card into her PDA.

Is it OK to use the software on more than one PDA (obviously not simultaneously), and if so what do I need to do to get it installed on the second one?

Cheers

Nick

Welcome to our forums.
You should not be able to use the same card now that its been installed on your own PDA. However, if you had copied the contents of the card to a new card before it was installed then it should be fine.

Hi there,

As far as I am aware, you can only install the software on one device as it could be illegally copied otherwise. This is why the setup generates a unique device code when registering your software.

Thanks for the welcome Charlie.
I did make a backup of the card before installing the software. I created a new card from this but when I stick it in my wife's PDA it does nothing.

Strange, works for me on the 3970 I have on my desk. Got the latest patches/upgrades from HPs site for the 3970?

No, I'll check that out. Am I right in assuming that copying the files from the original SD card to my PC and then on to another SD card should be enough?
