Default No Signal Tt3 Dell X5 Cf Card Receiver

Hi, I appear to receive no signal to my newly installed CF card receiver and my DELL AXIM X5, TT3, PPC version 4.2 (this set up has operated fine before with wired receiver). In 'GPS' I have selected TomTom Navigator GPS and CF_CARD GENERIC from the drop down window and the blue box is ticked. The red LED on the receiver flashes constantly for 5 hours outdoors but finds no satellite. I have soft reset the PDA and reset the CF Receiver button too. In 'GPS status' I noticed that the satellite dish and PDA symbols are 'connected' by animated dots. I also reloaded the complete TT3 software for another attempt but no luck.

Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks, Gus

If you're using a Global sat BC 307 for example (a popular CF receiver) ensure that on the axim X5 you tell tomtom that the baud rate is 9600 and NOT the recommended 4800 - or you'll get nothing.. and try to get your intial TTFF outdoors in open skies.
