No bluetooth signal on GPS receiver

Hi everyone

Long time since I've been on the boards and I know this question has been raised before but I can't find the solution when I search. So, sorry in advance.

My wife's TT bluetooth GPS receiver has stopped showing the blue flashing light and therefore she can't connect using her HP1940.

I remember posts about this saying to let the battery go completely flat and then re charge it. I've done this once and it hasn't helped, the only light on the receiver is constant green.

Any thoughts ? I know she's left it on her dash in the recent hot weather (!), could it be affected by the heat in a permanant way ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
