NEED HELP Hp6340 and Tom Tom 5

Tom Tom 3 was working perfectly. Then my pda did a hard reset and wiped off everything. I reinstalled tom tom 3 then the tom tom 5 upgrade. I have tried everything to get it working. About ready to put in the bin. Can anyone please help this frustrated person. The receiver is pairing with the pda but when I launch tom tom I get "no gps device(flight mode)". That was after tom tom support told me the 5.10 upgrade would sort the problem. No such luck!!!!
