Default TTN5 Sound POI probs...

Hi all,

I have a HP iPaq rx3715 and have got TomTom Nav 5 it has been wurking great the only little annoyin thing is that it will not play the sound i have selected for when i go past Speed Cameras for example. I selected it in the TomTom preferences page to play the sound 'Polite 3' when I am 273 yds away from the camera but it doesn't work. Any1 know why this is?

What distance shall i tell it to alert me at? I have left it as default at 273 yds.

Any help much appreciated.

TIA

Max

I have set the warnings for 200yrds. Other people recommend 100 yards but I tend to approach speed cameras a little faster (I don't know why???????) As for the sounds, have you made sure that the sound files are in the same folder as the camera files?

this may help:

Hi all, i just thought i'd share it with all of you who are have some sort of POI problem!!!

CheckPoint have just released the NEW CheckPoint 5.0!!!! which is intended to integrate with Tomtom Navigator 5.

As most of you who have used the CheckPoint 3.2 will probably agree that its was a sound software to use with Tomtom Nav 3.

i Assume the new CheckPoint 5 will be the same with Tomtom Nav5

You can download the CheckPoint 5.0 from here:
http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/

Pls note that CheckPoint say that this version of software is only compatible with Pocket PC 2002/Windows Mobile 2003 using ARM and XSCALE processors.

post me a reply if you find it useful or have any problems. i've downloaded it, will be loading it in the next few days
