Default POI Warner & TT5

I've just downloaded the recently released patch for TT5 whci on the face of it is pretty good...(just like the old days with TT3)
Only problem I've got is that Warner is not actually monitoring, although it says it is...there is no little Green 'on icon' at the bottom....and the warning tones are not working although I've set them up in 'warner manager'....all the downloaded POI's are showing up in TT5 fine...but no sound warnings.
Any ideas.....do Warner sounds take over from TT5 sounds...at present I have left the TT5 sound option On, although it seems to make no difference to warner if I turn it off. Thanks. Mike.

Hi,
Ive also just purchased the new release of poi warner for use with navigator 5.1 and tried it on my axim 50v. I also could not get any sounds from poi warner nor any display in tomtom, other than a small line of text at the top of the page when a poi approached.
i only registered on the understanding that it now works on tt5, which so far it doesnt seem to.
anyone else have the same prob????

Well I got it to work.. ahem... hadnt realised that I had disabled sounds for programs in my pda settings! seems it needs that enabled to work... but confirmed from the supplier that on the tom tom 5 version it no longer provides the green bar display... just text at the top of the screen. Well at least it shouts at me now!

Simon

for your info

Hi all, i just thought i'd share it with all of you who are have some sort of POI problem!!!

CheckPoint have just released the NEW CheckPoint 5.0!!!! which is intended to integrate with Tomtom Navigator 5.

As most of you who have used the CheckPoint 3.2 will probably agree that its was a sound software to use with Tomtom Nav 3.

i Assume the new CheckPoint 5 will be the same with Tomtom Nav5

You can download the CheckPoint 5.0 from here:
http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/

Pls note that CheckPoint say that this version of software is only compatible with Pocket PC 2002/Windows Mobile 2003 using ARM and XSCALE processors.

post me a reply if you find it useful or have any problems. i've downloaded it, will be loading it in the next few days
