Question Postcodes and TT5

I have just upgraded to TT5 on my HP 1710 and have difficulty in accessing the postcodes from the SD card. TT suggest saving the unzipped file (8.6m) to 'my documents' but that uses up nearly all the memory and makes the PDA unusable, I would be grateful if somebody has an idea how ti get around this.

Thanks

Hi there, I have the exact same system and had the same problem.
1. Connect your PDA to your computer.
2. Explore your files and click on the memory card
3. Right click on the mouse and create a new folder. Name this folder tomtom.
4. Disconnect from computer, start tomtom and you should now be able to use the postcode function having used no extra memory.

Good luck

On your memory card you should have the following:
1. Great Britain
2.Tomtom contacts navigator
3.Tomtom Navigator
4. Zip.

I then created a new folder and named it Tomtom. This folder remains blank but makes the postcodes work. (this works on pocket pc, are you using palm?)

Can you not create a new folder named Tomtom (notice the different spelling). Worth a try?

Hi there, sorry you are having so many problems. I know this sounds like a lot of hard work but it may be worth a try. Re install your tomtomproduct and then try to create that new tomtom folder. I can't understand why you already have one in there. I'm afraid i've no further options for you try.
