Default Tomtom navigator 5 & SPV M2000

A couple of issues with getting my Holux gr231 to speak to the m2000 in tomtom. seems to have been cleared by the workaround elsewhere on this forum... fantastic. Thanks.

Slight issue with keyboard on the pda though. I know that v5.1 supposedly sorts some of the issues around the soft keypad that couldn't be displayed on this and similar handsets. For reasons that I'm not going into just now I'm unable to upload and install the revision as yet .

Seems to be an issue with my hard keyboard though. When trying to enter postcodes using the slide down keyboard i cannot enter numbers. usually the Fn key will allow me to press keys and enter numbers but for some reason nothing I do can stop both the cap/shift button and the lock/Fn button entering accented letters!

Am I doing something stupid with my phone or is this a problem. Has anybody had the same issue? I'm assuming you all have 5.1 now but you may be able to help.

This may be the wrong forum but the problem with the keypad only occurs when tomtom is up and running so assume it is tomtom specific....

Welcome to our forums.
I haven't come across the problem you are having but I guess the v5.1 update should fix it but you won't know till you try it

Good luck.

Just wondering if it is something I have done incorrectly with the handset or not. Other threads seem to suggest that other m2000/ mda3/ xda2s users had to use the keypad to enter postcodes but no mention anywhere by anybody else that that was a problem so I assumed they could enter numbers on the keypad.

No luck! Spoke to Orange who haven't heard of anything like this. Keys all work fine with every other application. only tomtom that the cap & Fn key gives odd symbols when trying to enter postcodes.

Am I the only person on this forum using an m2000 with tt5? surely somebody else can tell me whether I am alone with this or whether it is a specific problem??
