With TomTom closed use file explorer to naviagate to the GB map folder and delete the file 'Great-Britain-Map.cfg'. Run Tom Tom and all should be well. The reason for this fault is the cfg file picks up a read only attrib from somewhere so no changes are saved. Deleting it forces TomTom to re-create it correctly. You can also use Active Sync to transfer the file to your PC to remove the read only attrib and put it back.
