Default tomtom 5 / hp 3970-no gps device

upgraded from TT2 toTT5 navigation. get a constant message saying "NO GPS DEVICE". upgraded TT5 to TT5.1 , but no use. found no help on the tomtom website + with their customer services. had no problems before withTT2. have a HP3970 pda with windows 2002 operating system & a bluetooth TomTom GPS device
would appreciate assisstance!

many thanks! for your prompt response & valuable advise. tried the link and everything is working fine now.
tomtom technical assisstance must say should hang their head in shame as they advised me incorrectly that my pda HP 3970 with windows version 2002 was incompatible with TT nav 5.

hi i can see what it says above , but.
i have a 3970 pda with v3.8 and a new tom tom 5 and i am getting the "no gps device" i need help (just ask the wife). i am new to all this , what i would like is made simple so even i can under stand what your saying please.tell me its it worth all the hassle, i even got my old aa map back out the bin. please help going away at the weekend and the wife is allready bending my ear about how much all this has cost
