Ipaq 3850 with Tomtom3 upgrade to TT5?

I have a compaq ipaq 3850 with original TomTom 3 wired GPS.

War interested in upgrading to TT% as I am in the Midlands and the new map I beleive has the M6 Toll road. I also use checkpoint which all works great.

The Tomtom Website does not list my model as upgradable, has anyone tried it.

Also on ebay you can buy the TomTom5 upgrade pack, will this work out of the box or are there clever ways they have stopped people using the discs again.

Does anyone have a copy of the new UK maps they can email me and will this work with the old TOMTom 3?

All in all I am looking for a cheap way to upgrade either maps only or software and maps.

Ever heard of piracy? Its illegal and because of people that purchase pirate software, honest people have to pay more. The upgrade through the Tomtom site is fantastic value for money at 59 euros, as this includes the european maps. So the price should not be an issue. I do not know if your PDA is compatible tho
