Tomtom 3

I would like to use TomTom with my iPaq 3835 and a wired GPS. I assume that it will have to be version 3 as the TomTom site does not include the iPaq 3835 in the list of compatible devices for version 5. If it works with the iPAQ H3870 will it work with the 3835?

Where can I buy version 3? I prefer not to use eBay after a bad experience buying software.

The helpful advice that TOMTOM 5 would work on my iPaq 3835 came too late I had already bought an original set from eBay, complete with maps of western Europe.

I have installed it and updated to 3.07. But it fails to work. Occasionally it will lock on and start planning the route, even allowing me to travel a few hundred yards but then it loses the GPS signal. If I revert to TOMTOM 2 all works fine. I really wanted it for the updated maps and for the France maps.

The GPS receiver is a Garmin GPS 35 which is not in the list of options.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
