spv m1000 and tomtom

i have tomtom 5 successfully installed on my m1000 but it is unable to pick up a gps signal, do i need to get a seperate bluetooth or gps reciever or is it built in and i just havent got it setup right?

I have an spv m1000 no mater what I did I couldnt get TTN5 to detect my Holux GPSlim236, I ended up phoning orange and getting an spv m500 the smaller one and it works no problem. It is a problem with the bluetooth com port settings it wouldnt work even if it was set correctly.

I even tried all the updates and methods mentioned on the forum with using the 3.07 drivers.
