Unhappy SPV M2000 & TT5

Hi,

Been trying for 2 weeks to get SPV M2000 (Win Mobile OS) with TT5.1 on pre-loaded sd card to recognise the gps output from New Road Angel.

Total PDA very helpful when selling cables etc, but not when offerring support via phone/e-mail (no reply to last 5 e-mails). I have tried a bluetooth dongle, and direct cable links. None worked.

Is there a compatability issue with pre-loaded TT5.1 on Windows Mobile PDAs or the SPV M2000 itself?

I'm spending alot of money on cables etc on the advice of so-called tech support but getting nowhere.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

I'm using TomTom Navigator 5.1 (not TT5 mobile) on the Orange SPV M2000 with TomTom Bluetooth GPS works ok. It takes about a minute or two to start TT5 but picks up the satellites very quick. I'm using a preloaded 128mb card and have added the POi safety cameras all working ok. The units bluetooth automatically found the TomTom GPS when first turned on.

Silly question but are you using TT5 Mobile?

Regards
Bob

Thumbs up

Thanks Bob. I'll try to get a Tomtom gps device on e-bay.

As far as I know its TTN5 (not mobile). Shame I can't use the gps on the Road Angel.
The only reply I've had from Tomtom is that they don't support 3rd party devices!

Cheers

Marcus
