Smile Help can anyone email me the TT5 post code zip file

Hi
can anyone help. I have tried using 7 digit post coding for my TT5 upgrade and have created the empty Tomtom folder however I can still only get 5 digit post coding which is a waste of time and money as I need this for my business. On checking the zip folder that contains the 7 digit post codes it would appear to be corrupted. Have tried cointacting Tom Tom but thier customer service is hopeless and don't respond. Can anyone advise whether they could send me a copy of this zip file or point me to a place where I can download it (I assume this is not a legal issue as I have purchased the software already?)

Any help would be really appreciated as I am back to work next week and really need to resolve this before then.

Any emails with the zip file can be sent to robert.morgan7@ntlworld.com
Thanks a million

Why can't you just install it again from your CDs? The postcode file is pretty large and I'm pretty sure there is a legal problem eMailing it to you - how do we know you haven't downloaded a pirate copy without the postcodes and simply want them to add to that?

The postcodes are installable as a separate item from the CDs, so you shouldn't have a problem installing them. How do you know that the existing zip folder contents are corrupt?

Cheers,

Steve.

I have been in the IT industry for the past 16 years and am not in the habit of downloading pirate copies of anything. I suggest in future you refrain from insinuating such things. I know the Zip file is corrupted as I purchased the upgrade from TT3 which comes supplied on a SD card and it is corrupted on the card. I do not have CD's to install from. Hence my request for help from users of this site
Regards
Rob

My upgrade came on CD. If you've been in the software industry for the past 16 years (as have I) I would have thought you would have known better than to request a copy of (a portion of) licensed software.

Having said that - check your mail...

Cheers,

Steve.

Put in cd 1 of the pack, agree to the EUL agreement, click on pocket pc, click on add maps, click on Great Britain and then the third option should be the postcode section.

If you get any problems getting the full postrcodes to work, put an empty folder on the root of the SD Card and name it 'Tomtom'. The postcodes should then work.
