Default Navigator 5 Q's

Hi all,

Bit new to this PDA navigation lark so please be gentle!

Got a couple of questions to ask....

First up I got navigator 5 bluetooth kit today all up and working (was simple enough) stuck my pda (ipaq 3715) in to my tom tom custom mount plugged charger in, yep all working also got a RJ11 to DC cable for charging the BT receiver but for some strange reason its not charging the receiver?? Anybody else had this problem??? (It seems the jack is to long but i may be wrong?)

Also as the maps are on the SD card would it be possible to copy the files onto my computer for backup?? I have a SD card reader??

one more thing, sorry, I have another 1GB SD card. Could I transfer all the navigator files onto this card and us it??? and would i have to re-install TT navi 5 again??

Thanks and sorry for the long post
Carlo

Hi Carlo,

1. I don't know about your bluetooth receiver as i am using a wired version.

2. You should be able to copy all of the contents onto your computer no probs (especially using your SD card reader)

3. Again you should be able to transfer all the info from one card to the other using the above technique and you wouldn't need to reinstall as the program will be copied over as well. It is worth remembering that your tomtom will only work on your registered PDA. (the way round this would be to copy the SD card before registering to the PDA and then you should be able to use the seperate cards in seperate PDA's)
