Default Map problems on TTN5 (Upgrade from TTN2)

Hi,

I am new to the forum and have been having a nagging problem with TTN5. I have upgraded from TTN2. The installation went smoothly and I have also installed the new patch for TTN5 GPS (v5.10).

However, I am having problem with the routing. I installed GB maps on my SD card (IPAQ 1940). When I try and select Navigate to->Address, in the screen that comes up I cannot find any cities. No matter what letter I type, the list (below the city text field) remains blank. Same is the case for post codes as well.

Sometimes, however, if i press the down arrow key without entering anything I get a few entries beggining with 'A' but again when I enter any letter (including a), the list goes gray and I can't find / select anything.

I read a forum post suggesting that there is a batch of faulty disks. For me as well, the installation suggests that GB maps are 111MB but on the SD card only 101.9MB is transferred.

Does this also sound like a case of faulty disks???? PLEASE HELP ..

Thanks in advance,
Sid

It should definitely have approx 111mb on the SD card. I would try to reinstall and if that does not work, I would contact the seller (presumably tomtom) and get them to send out another copy of the discs ( I presume that they will want the old ones back).

Let me know the outcome
