Default Do i have a problem ??

Hi guys,, nice to speak to you all and i'm looking for a bit of guidance here as i just bought my first pda with sat nav.

Yakumo Delta 300 GPS running TomTom 5

Works a treat, but when i change home address to my address,, all is well until i turn of the tomtom5 software,, then when i restart he app, it has defaulted everything back to basics,, even poi warnings for speed cams etc that i have set up.

As im new to all this i would appreciate if anyone can offer advise or suggestions to where i'm going wrong,, or perhaps there cold be a software / hardware issue here ?

Yakumo Delta 300 GPS is the same unit as the Mitac Mio 168, and it runs a 300mhz Intewl PXA255 processor and Windows Mobile 2003 for pocket PC (sothe box says)

thanx folks
Ray

Assuming you have your GB map installed on you card in a folder called "Great_Britain-Map" you will find within that folder a file called "Great_Britain-Map.cfg".

This file contains all your customisation including favourites. Simply copy this to your computer, right click, properties and remove the read only attribute. Then copy it back and all should be well.

Are you just copying the file or actually moving it to the PC, removing the read-only and then moving it back??

If you copy it, Tomtom would in theory have two files and maybe reading it from the read only version.
