Question Upgrade Question ?

Hi, first of all let me apologise if this has been asked before but I've done a search and can't find a solution. I have an old Axim X5 pda running TomTom Navigator 3. Does the job but am looking for an updated pda and thought at the same time I could upgrade to TomTom 5. What I want to know is can I just buy a new Ipaq 3715 install my copy of TomTom 3 then go to TomTom site and "upgrade" to TomTom 5 ? This would represent a substantial saving if possible ? I am not looking to "pirate" software just genuinely want to know if it's possible/allowed ? I understand that my old TomTom 3 software could not be used in Tandem !

Yes you should be able to install TT3 on your new PDA and as long as you still have your correct product codes you will be able to do the upgrade.

Give me a call if you want to go over some new PDA's

As long as you have the original productcode for tomtom 3, you should be able to put this onto the new PDA and then upgrade through the tomtom website.
