Palm TX & TT5 closes down after 3mins

Help!!

Just purchased Palm TX & TT5, looked at TT site and upgraded to 5.12 as suggested, now my unit shuts down every 3 mins. really anoying.

Also I accidently erased Janes voice, I have downloaded it from the TT site but can not install it no matter what I try.

Further more, the instructions say to copy the SD card in case of future problems, without a card reader how do I do this?

Sorry to go on and on but I am really stuck.

Hi there,

A few things all in the same post.

1. It sounds to me that the PDA is shutting down as a power saving option. Especially if it does this at the same interval all the time. Go into the settings of the PDA and then try changing the power option.

2. If you got Tomtom on CD, you should be able to re-install the voice directly from there.

3. Connect your PDA to your computer, once connected, you should be able to explore your PDA's contents (including SD Card). Just right click, copy. Then create a folder, name it back up (or anything else you want), right click, paste. If your PDA does not connect to the computer, try downloading active sync. It is free and a simple Google search will help you find it.
