Default Can anyone help me Here

i just got this tom tom 5 versionoff a seller on ebay , and it installs and functions perfectly but there is a strange issue , when i go somewhere and add that position to my favourites through gps position it saves the position fine and so if i add any place through my address book but when i exit the application and turn the pda back on theer are no saved locations in my favourties as if tomtom did not save anything to start off with

this is getting very strange and cumbersome cause i have to fill in places everytime i go only to see them vanish when i turn on my pda to use it again

pda = acer n30
card sd fuiji 512 MB

can anyone help me out

Is this version a pirate copy???? If it is, you can solve it by buying a legit version.

I also bought from an eBay seller "platforminc" a 256mb SD card and TT5 but have not used it much as yet. I'll check out the 'feature' noted by hisam2k. Maybe it's the same seller?

I'm in touch with the seller of the software that I bought and hoping he will either find a solution or admit that it is not completely functional (fat chance) but I'll let you know if I get anywhere.

Have you made any progress on your problem?

Don't know if you've found the answer to this yet but if you change the Great-Britain-Map.cfg file from read only it'll work.

I've tried this, but the file isn't ready only anyway (see my thread nearby).

copy the Great-Britain-Map.cfg file to your desktop. Make sure it is NOT read only, if it is remove read only. Copy back to device.

If still not working, close TT. Delete the Great-Britain-Map.cfg file, and restart TT. It'll be recreated and should be OK from there.
