Default Help

Hi, i own a hp ipaq hw 6500
and recently i bought a tomtom navigation system CDs to install onto my PDA.
but there seem to be lots of problems.

Q.1 do you need the tomtom memory card or could it be any memory card big enough to hold all the maps, or do you need them at all?

Q.2 when i put the CD 1..the map CD, it says my memory is too small, is this something to do with the memory card?

Q.3 where can i find the second code which i need to type in...i got the one from the box set.and it is the product code where can i find the second..?

i searched around and found that it sould show up when i turn my application on...but it doesnt show....why is that?

Please answer my questions...thanks!

1. Kingston is a very good SD Card. You can buy them from the www.totalpda.co.uk site.

GB Plus Maps (the Plus means + Major Roads of Europe) fit on 256MB card but if you add France maps (Or install GB and Postcodes and the France plus maps) you will need a 512MB card. I would recommend paying a bit extra to get a 1GIG card.

You just install the maps you need. If you travel to say France regularly, it's best to Install just the GB maps, Postcodes and France Plus map. This means you can switch to the France map before setting off, set your destination and be guided on the Major Roads of Europe to the Ferry terminal and on arrival in France you would continue with Street level mapping of France.

2. If you have a card reader try installing directly, it's faster than going via ActiveSync and you won't get the error.

3. The second code is the Activation code which you get from TomTom during the install or if you can activate later by going to ttcode.

Nearly forgot. When you have everything installed and activated, go here http://www.tomtom.com/support/index....age=1&FID=3361 and download the update to Version 5.21.
