Default TOm Tom 5 with GPS wired Reciever and WM5 problems

Hi there I'm new to site but have read alot about these kind of problems. I have an Ipaq hx2495 with WM5 and tom tom nav 5(4890) GPS Driver v1.2 with a Brodit cradle and a holux 213 wired gps reciever.

The GPS reciever is installed and is recieving a signal fine from satilities as i can view it through the gps viewer software (On com 1 with baud rate 4800).

I have done whats been advised before which is to turn off the beam auto pick up in the setting tab and turned off bluetooth and WIFI. But somehow I'm still getting No GPS signal in tom tom is this cos the version I have isnt compatible with the gps reciever or WM5??

I have tom tom set with NMEA wired GPS/Baud rate 4800/Com 2 - Serial cable on COM1

HELP!!!! This is driving me mad|!!!
