Question TomTom 5 Problem loading additional maps

I have recently upgraded from TTN3 to TTN5 running on an HP IPAQ2210. I have loaded TTN5 and the GB Plus Maps without problem and am now trying to load the maps of France and am having a problem.

On loading the CD and entering the TomTom Setup I select add maps and select France, select Pocket PC and then, before I can select to load the map to my SD or CF Card the Tomtom screen disappears and I'm left with the Windows desktop. Whatever I seem to do I can't find the Tomtom screen at all. The only time it comes up is if I shut the PC down I see the screen asking if I'd like to install onto the SD or CF card just before Windows shuts down when it's too late to do anything.

My PC is Dell Latitude laptop running Windos XP Home edition.

I have posed the question to Tomtom support but with no sensible response as yet. Any ideas ?? Thanks in advance.

Neil.

copy the map folder to your PC then drag and drop onto your memory card.

Stevie, Thanks for this I have managed to get the Benelux maps from CD1 in the pack onto my PC by selecting the advanced option, installing on the PC and then copying to the IPAQ but I still can't get France to load (CD4). it will install onto the PC OK but when I copy across to the IPAQ it doesn't manage to copy the "cline" file - it gets 2/3rds of the way through and then goes back to the beginning. The file is around 160MB in size.

Any ideas ??

Neil
