Default TOMTOM 5 and backlight switching off

Hello there,

My tomtom is working fine but the moment I tab the TomTom Navigator the backlight switches off. I don't know if it's becouse I don't have my reciever connected or is there something wrong with the software. I don't have problems with maps or voice. It is only that backlight. As soon as I turn the tomtom off the backlight comes back on. Any ideas?

Please help me

Assuming you have a PDA, look in your settings for power option.

In there you can specify to turn off the back light after x minutes when on battery, and x minutes when charging.

Mine's set to always on if charging, and 30 minutes on battery.

Sorry for the lack of information. I have XDA II and in backlight settings if external power source is on always ON and on battery always ON. I also tryed setting ''o battery turn off after 5 min'' didn't help

Is this only with TomTom, or when anything is running?

Could try killing all open apps, and doing a SOFT reset. Could be something stuck in memory preventing the settings from sticking.

I am presuming you guys have the latest update??

For the XDA, if you have the O2 software on it, this can also interfere with the tomtom software.
