Cannot execute \windows\ttgpseng.exe error

I have a Dell Axim x30 running TT3. Maps are on a memory card so there is tons of free memory. Out of the blue I have started getting the Cannot execute \windows\ttgpseng.exe error message. If I click ok to that, I get cannot execute \windows\misc.exe.

If I click ok on that and go into the settings screen, I can access certain things and not others.

TT3, which has worked virtually flawlessly up to now, will not load up at all - nothing happens when I click on the icon.

I have carried out no software upgrades or uploads whatsoever since loading TT3 about 11 months ago. The only thing I have changed at all recently was the list of 7 programs instantly accessible from the Start menu.

I have read a number of threads talking about the first error message and how it seems to be linked to TT5 upgrading, but that does not apply in my case, and I can't find any reference to the second error anywhere on the net.

One option is a reload of TT3 or in an extreme situation Windows, but I was wondering whether anyone had any insights which might help. Thanks!
