problems GPS with tomtom

I am experiencng some problems using tom tom + gps with bluetooth.
I have got an iPaq HP2200 with TomTom V5.000(4890) and a waxter gps receiver.
The problem I have is:
1.- The gps connects to the ipaq throught bluetooth correctly.
2.- But, when I start the tomtom aplication, it says there is no GPS.

Then I try to configurate the tomtom going to:
preferences-GPS status-configure-other bluetooth gps-serial port com5.

But it does not work.

could you please help me in this matter, I would very appreciate

Have you tried a different com port.....I use an IPAQ 3870 and my bluetooth gps works fine on com 7

Don't select other bluetooth gps. Select as if it was a wired GPS unit then it will ask which port it's connected to. I think bluetooth is one of the options in that menu.

Sounds crazy, but I remember reading that somewhere!!
