TomTom5 Dell X51v GPS Serial issues

I'm trying to connect to a hardwired gps through the serial port.
When this was installed on my Dell X30 I had no problem.
Now with the X51V, I get this as one of the options, which I believe is the port that I need, but it is garbled.
I have done complete reinstalls of the whole OS WM5 to try and get this to work.

Under the option

Has anyone had experience with resolving this error or has anyone got this setup working on a hardwired GPS.(ARKON POWERED GPS MOUNT)

I have exactly the same problem if you solve it let me know. I have a different wired gps reciever so I think it's a Tom tom /dell thing not the gps
