TT Nav 3 with my Dell Axim X5 - stopped working

I have been using TT Nav 3 with my Dell Axim X5 for 1 week with no problems until recently....

I turned it on as usual and plugged into its GPS holder and the 'I'm working' spinning circle was in the middle of the map and no navigation was happening.

I exited tt Nav 3 and took the pda out of the holder, turned it off, replaced the pda turned on and tried to fire tt3 up. The usual 'I'm working' spinning circle came up briefly TomTom Navigator appeared at the top of the screen, followed by 'Frame' the screen flickered and then took me back to the today screen. TT3 wouldn't fire-up!

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but this has had no effect. I cannot get it to run anymore, it seems as though something is missing required to run the programme, but how can that be if I have reinstalled?

I have tried using two different SD cards.
