having problems

hi all

be gentle its my first post

i bought a used ipaq pda with sat nav software , the software was kane ,and as you already know kane is no more so i couldnt get any more maps

so i got a copy of tom tom 5 installed it all fine ,but i cant get the reciever to work ive been throught all the settings ,and the reciever worked fine with the kane software

the reciever is a royaltek wired reciever
