TomTom Navigator Upgrade & Device Code

I recently loaded Navigator 5 on my iPAQ 2795 and activated my maps with no problem, that is until I updated the software. After I updated, my device code changed and I'm not able to activate my maps. Is your device code supposed to change with the update? Has anyone else had this problem, if so how did you fix it?
