Default XDAIIi connection problem with Wired GPS and TomTom

Hello,

I have an XDAIIi Windows Mobile 2003 with TomTom 5 installed.

I have a Road Angel 2 with one of those splitter cables that runs from the cigarette lighter to both RA2 and XDA - both of which power up/charge ok.

I cannot for the life of me get TomTom to recognise the GPS receiver..am i doing something wrong ?

TomTom is currently configured to point to Serial Cable on COM1 baud rate of 4800 and Receive Incoming Beams is unchecked under settings.

its driving me nuts !

Hi I Had this problem whe setting up a wired GPS

I took me 3hour to solve

If you have a look in the O2 manual under useing the phone as a serial modem it says something about disabling the beam function. do this and the the gps will be reconized on serial COM:1 sorry to be a bit vague about this but i do not have the book as it was a friends XDA IIi.
