Default TomTom 5 with CheckPOInt 5 display issues

Hi all. First time poster.

Last week i got myself an HP iPaq rx1950 with Windows Mobile 5 and TomTom 5.210

After scouring through the DVD full of apps i got with it, i found a link to CheckPOInt on the web. Downloaded the latest version and installed it. All fine. So after a couple of hours of fiddling with it I got it to detect stuff like speed cameras. It does this fine but instead of the nice steady display you see, like on the CheckPOInt website -

http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/ima...avigating3.jpg

The distance display and the average speed bit (for section cameras) flickers randomly and it's very hard to read.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to get it fixed?

Cheers
-David

Thumbs up

I run exectly the same software on an rx3715 without any problems try increasing the time between voice messages for section cameras that might improve things.

I dont have any voice warning set up and it's not just the section cameras it has this problem with. All POIs that checkpoint detects and gives a distance for causes the same problem. Its all very weird. Could it maybe be that TomTom is detecting things like speed cameras as well and there is a confliction?

As far as I'm aware there is no need to use Checkpoint at all, as TT5 has it's own version. My ipaq runs the camera software without checkpoint.

True, but it's not as customisable and acurrate as CP is.

Moxy, are you using if fine on WM5? I can't seem to get it to stop locking TT on my hx2790 tt5.21 and WM5
