Default Trying to install tomtom nav 5 on garmin palm

I got given a palm by my neighbour recently because his company now provide him with an even better one, anyway the gps on it is rubbish. Ive always wanted a tomtom, love the way its laid out and inverted as you drive. Anyway this palm has ique gps installed on it already and the gps reciever unfolds from the back of it. Its running on palm os 5.1.2 and ive installed program such as games and word etc.

I have tomtom nav 5 and its around 150mb which ive installed on a 256mb card. when i put this into the palm, the tom tom screen pops up, then the palm restarts, and continues to do so over and over again. If i then take out the card, its installed itself to the palm, so i try running it from there and all i can c is 'armcode not allocated' across the screen and nothing more.

Weird.

I tried loading the software onto a 512mb card and still no joy. I even put the software on without any maps that was on there which totalled 50mb and still nothing worked.

first of all i thought i was installing too much information on the card but now it doesnt seem so. I then thought maybe it was the wrong software, but the tomtom screen loads up with the little reds hands and i get all exicted...then boom it restarts! I thought then that mayb there wasnt enough memory so i turned it on and off and reset it but still no joy!!

What i finally think now is mayb tomtom cannot be installed on this palm, is a garmin ique 3600. I dont understand y i cant be thought, because ive installed other applications.

If anyone can help i would so greatful, many thanks.

These are the ones showingas compatible with TTN5 software.

<LI>Palm
LifeDrive, Treo 650, Tungsten C, Tungsten E2, Tungsten T3, Tungsten T5, TX, Zire72

If yours is shown then I would suggest you start from the beginning and install TomTom Software.

Next install the maps from your CD's to your SD Card using a Card Reader.

When you insert your Card and start TomTom, you will be asked to enter the product code. This together with your device code will generate an activation code and the maps will be usable.
