Should it remember my current location on restart

Hi,
I have the latest tomtom (5.21) on my Asus A636 PDA and I'm really impressed with it (both the PDA and tomtom).
I have a quick newbie question though. If I travel somewhere and switch off the PDA for the night and then start it up in the morning, it defaults to my home location while it finds a GPS signal etc. - which sometimes takes a couple of minutes. If I turn the PDA off for just a few minutes it remebers where it is, and off I go. I'd thought it would remember where I am after being awitched off for a while - is this correct?

Extended power downs will always default to the home location
