Question Navigator version 5 or 6

Just bought the iPaq 2790 and went to buy TomTom bluetooth version 5. A helpful sales assistant told me to wait as a new version (version 6) is due in 10 days! I have looked everywhere but cannot find any information about this except in the US. Has anyone heard anything?

I'd like to know the differences between the 2, and if v5 owners will be offered an upgrade program as with previous new releases

That's exactly what I was after. Thanks for your help. It'll be interesting what maps they include with this version. Ireland was always in Western Europe I thought??!!

Teleatlas provide tomtom with their maps an their coverage of Ireland has always been poor at best.

Haydn

According to the Tomtom website the 2790 is not supported for TT6. Whether that is the definitive version or whether they will add to the list I don't know. I happen to look for this PDA because I also own a 2790.

I see no reason why it shouldn't be supported. IIRC the TT5 list started quite small, and missed off loads which actually were supported eventually. The Dell X5 is one such device.
