tom tom and main start menu

When I was using tom tom navigator 3 I could get to the main start menu if I wanted to use media player or other programme. Now I have navigator 5 I can't seem to get to start menu with out having to exit out of tom tom. and then having to switch back on again. Am I doing something wrong or has this function been lost with the upgrade?

Many PDA's such as HP hae a task button, which will bring the start menu up.

But yes, unlike v3 TT5 uses full screen mode and hides the start bar. Ther's know way to overcome this.
