Default tomtom navigator 6 and POI/setting saving

I have a T-mobile MDA Vario and I'm running tomtom navigator 6 (6.010) and I'm unable to save and favorites or changes made to poi (speed camera settings) and I have read about problems with .cfg files being read only but I'm unable to change the settings on these files either via activesync or on the pda itself.

any ideas please?

I can see the file types on the pda but I have tried deleting files starting in great_britain_maps but it either does nothing or when tomtom starts it says maps not found.

sorry for the double post but can see a way of editing the last post I made.

I have found the reason it didn't store settings I believe it was down to the active sync setting that would convert files that get copied and make them read only. I disabled it and it seems to work fine.

edit: ok cleans glasses and removes blonde wig :P
