qtek 1605 & tom tom

I have just purchased qtek 1605 from vodafone (new model). Tom tom havent tested it yet and say it is not compatable with Nav 6. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether Nav 6 will work on it, as i cant imagine qtek bringing out a new model that would not utilise tom tom software!!
