Default xda mini + wired gps no com1 listed

hi ive just installed tomtom on my xda mini and have used the usb lead that it comes with with an adaptor to connect it to my classic road angel, but it keeps saying no gps signal

ive went into tomtom settings and selected wired gps, baud rate 4200, but when it comes up with which port to use it list the following:

com9 , infrared port , com3 , com0 , com2 , serial port

but no com1??????

ive turned of the beam connection and reset etc but still nothing........help????

You cant use a wired GPS with those type of devices. Its something to do with the way the Mini usb connector is set up.
