"No maps found"... what's happened?

I've an iPaq running Navigator 6. It's been working fine - until today! Suddenly, whenever I start Tomtom I'm getting the "Legal notice" followed by "No maps found".

It appears that my Tomtom files have "disappeared". If I look at my SD card using File Explorer all I see is one file called ttnavigator that shows as 0b (zero size)

Am totally confused! Any suggestions?

Shut TT, remove the SD card, the reinsert after 10 secs.
