cannot save home location or favourites tomtom navigator

Newbie here! Just got tomtom navigator on a HP Jornada PDA (obviously refurbished!), but for some reason, it wont save a home location or keep any of the favourites. It looks as though it does, and is there until you turn it off and on again. Or shut down the app. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and what we can do to fix it?

Check the SD Card tab on the side is not set to locked.

Look in the GB map folder for the GB Map .cfg file and make sure it's not read only.

If you also have other maps e.g. France, you will also have to look at the France Map .cfg file to check that too.

There is one .cfg file for each map loaded.
