Default hp IPAQ 1710 pocket pc 2003 navigator hp edn

Hi
I have had my pda sat nav since 2004 - works fine. Having downloaded the speed camera data as POIs and enabled the warnings, the screen refresh rate is now down to about twice per second- it was almost seamless previously.
Is there anything I can do - such as reorganising the files on the SD card or is it down to the limits of the processor/memory?
Thanks for your help.

What file have you downloaded?
I use the single camera file, as i only need one warning and not 24 i think it is with the others.

Also if you enablethe poi then a warning, say 300 yrds, then go back and disable the poi for the speed camera it does not show them all over the place on the screen but still pops up and warns you 300 yards on the pda. This is good for me as i dont need to see all speed cameras all over a city etc, only the ones relevant to my route.

Also make sure you have not got too many poi's enabled they can really slow you down, i only enable any as and when i need them.
