Default Activation code for new PDA???

Hi
Have had ttnav5 installed on a toshiba pda now for over a year (from many software upgrades over many years), and now, due to factory fitted sat nav, and due to its age, the pda is not used much.
Decided now to upgrade my phone to an XDA Orbit which has a gps reciever built in and with the intention of installing tom tom for walking use etc onto it.
Managed to install the software after a few initial problems with the new active sync version 4 and many visits to forums, only to find that I cant activate it. When entering the product code and the new device code onto the website www.ttcode.com it just states that its the correct product code and that it has already been activated. NO OTHER OPTIONS.
Have emailed tom tom support and am now waiting a reply.
I did a hard install on the old pda about 6 months ago, is this the reason for the problem, or am I going to struggle to get Tom Tom to issue a new activation code even thought its quite an honest request???
has anyone else experienced this??

You'll need this guide: http://www.totalpda.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=5476 (Activating TomTom 5.x due to reinstallation or new device)

TomTom can be re-activated on a different device first after 4 weeks and then every six months. If it's not quite six months since your hard install, you will have to wait a little longer.
