Unhappy Ipaq H220 & Navigator 6

Hi!

I was trying to install Nav 6 to my IPAQ H2200.

I put the SD-card to IPAQ, and nothing happened. I opened the file manager and found an installation file from SD. I started it, and istallation semed to start fine.
But everything stopped, when it was time to select voice. There were no voices installed and when I pushed "Choose" (or what ever it was...) the program stopped to window "map not found" and I couldn't continue.
I thought that something went wrong with istallation, so I removed Tomtom from IPAQ and tried to install it again.
But now it doesn't start to install at all
I suppose that some file(s) were deleted from the SD when I removed the program.

And, of course, I didn't take a copy of the SD before starting..
I already asked about this from Tomtom, but they haven't answered yeat.

I have booted IPAQ in a soft and hard way, taken the sd off but nothing helps...

The IPAQ is few years old and it hasn't ever been uploaded.

Is there any way to get the "system files" back to sd? Can anyone send them to me? I only need those system files, not maps or voices or anything else.

Hoping that someone can help me (and understands my poor English, I'm from Finland ),

Marika

Welcome to our forums.

If you have lost/deleted files from the SD card then there is no way to restore them.
If you have an installation CD or DVD then you may be able to install from that.

Great, just great... Well, I hope that they send me the installation cd from Tomtom, because I had those files only on the tomtom Sd. The cd, which came with SD only includes Tomtom home and user manual.

You may have tried to install using a .CAB file. If the file is not marked as read only, it will only be able to be read once then disappear. Try the following:-

Go here http://www.ccleaner.com/update/?v=1.40.520&l=1033 download and install Recuva. (It's a FREE programme).

Insert your SD Card into a Card Reader and run Recuva.

If you are successful change each .CAB file on the SD Card to Read Only, by ticking the box. then DO A BACKUP making sure you go to your Desktop and select Tools - Folder Options - View and tick Show Hidden Files and Folders.

I finally got a new SD-card from reseller.

Now I'm trying to install Navigatro 6 to IPAQ 2200.
Everything starts fine, installations asks for language, type of date etc.
But when it“s time to select voice, installation doesn“t find any voices. If I press "Test" it only says "You did not select a usable voice" and if I press "Select" it gives the same text "You did not select a usable voice" and "No maps found!".

Is it possible to make this work?
Tomtom installs to pda, but if I try to open it, it only prompts "No maps found!".

Can anyone help me?

It looks like you will probably have to contact TomTom for help and advice.
