Default POIs etc disappeared from map

I have not got any icons for POIs or anything else displayed on the map screen of my Mitac Mio 168 any more. I did have speed camera database icons but deleted them when I read that this might be the reason why the others were missing! I have gone into preferences checked and unchecked several things without any success. I can navigate to POIs by using the lists but wonder if someone can tell me how I can get the icons back. Any help much appreciated.

My PDA has crashed a couple of times recently, is it likely that TT5 needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled?

Liz

IIRC TT6 like TT5 is limited to 26 POI sets (excluding the inbuilt ones). Every time you go past this limit, one is randomly dropped by TT.

How many POI sets have you loaded manually?

None I only have the factory loaded ones, none of which show now.

Try unchecking the tick boxes, exit tomtom, restart TT, then rechecking thecheck boxes under prefs.
