backup to mini sd card

I have just puchased a copy of TOMTOM 6 Navigator which came on a mini SD card. I havetried to transfer the files to a larger 2GB card but without success.I transferred the files via a card reader to my oc and then copied these to my PDA but quite a few of them showed as gobbledygook and my PDA said that it could not find any maps etc. I would be grateful for any advice on this problem.

You must put the card in a card reader, select show hidden files, then copy everything to a folder on your PC.

Then do the reverse onto the new card.
