Navigator 6 "Cannot find maps!"

Navigator 6 "Cannot find maps!"

TomTom navigator 6 says : "select a map" but the screen reads: "No maps found!". It has suddenly stopped working; no idea why. I run it from an ameo/WM6.
I have re-installed, both to the microdrive and an Sd card, did a soft reset. All the programmes are there but no luck.
Any suggestions?
