Default HP IPAQ 214 TomTom Nav 6 blacklight issue fix Howto

Guys,

The new HP Ipaq 210, 212 and 214 are not supported with tomtom 6 navigtor.

On launching tomtom 6 the blacklist disables.

with a little effort, and research, the process to get this working is as follows.

Install tomtom home 1.5 - or uninstall tomtom home 2 and re-install tomtom home 1.5 on your PC.

Download the tomtom 6.03 update
Save to a CF/SD card
eject and re-insert te CF/SD card to install the 6.03 update

You'll find the backlight is now working fine.

Just a quick note for people who are considering updating or have updated and are stuck

Unhappy HP 214 Navigator 5

I have a problem. I have Navigator 5 software, Tom Tom Blutoooth 2 and a headache.

The unit worked well with my HP 4700. It will not work with my new Hp 214 enteprise, Tom Tom say Navigator 5 its not compatible, Nor is navigator 6. So no upgrade path! Or are they wrong?

Help

Nav 6 works if you get the 6.3 patch from the post above.

Before patched,ipaq212 can find maps.
But the blacklist disables.
After patched,ipaq212 cannot find maps.
But the blacklist enables.
I can only patch CF Card on ipaq212,not Storage Card.
Does it matter or not?
