Default Map Updates

When I go online via TomTom Home I am told, correctly, that my UK & RoI map is three quarters old .
It says it can update me for £14.85 (3 x £4.95/Qtr) and then for a further £4.95/Qtr (£19.80/year) it will keep me updated. I'd rather wait until the end of the year to update the map, and then just update once a year. However when I go TomTom Home's Map's page it tells me that my map is already installed, which of course it is.
There doesn't seem to be a way of buying a one-off update.

Am I stuck with either paying the £4.95 per quarter or having to uninstall my present UK&RoI map and buying the latest version, which I guess will cost me even more?
Thanks for any advice.

I think this is way tomtom updates will be from now on.

The old one off style update was £40-£50 so this way is working out cheaper for you and you get more updates.

If you speak to tomtom on 08451610009 they will be able to clarify your options.

I wouldnt say your current maps would be that out of date after only 9 months so you dont have to update imediately unless you feel you have too.
